My notes from Girl Fight

Girl Fight Maria Durso 1 Timothy Fight the good fight of faith One day I was like this and the next day I was like this (Are you born again?) Salvation call in the beginning of her message 2 Timothy Paul - I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race I have kept my faith, I have kept my vows according to the rule book the Word of God I didn't always feel like fighting, but by God's grace I kept true to the truth People of God we are in a fierce fight, no one is going to fight for us, we have to fight Paul is telling Timothy, this is a fight for your life I'm in it to win it. I'm not one way in private and another way in public. I have a personal trainer and he died for me. You are fighting for a crown We have 3 enemies that we fight: the world, the flesh & the enemy The world - Culture, has never been in agreement with God - every hero had to stand against the culture in that day - we are in a culture war - culture tells us that pre marital sex is good, no...

What I learned from Christine Caine

Women's conference Christine Caine Session 1 Friday, July 15th We all have a Spiritual core Matthew 22:32,38 Heart - Complete heart, soul and our mind - Somebody gets us fired up, and we start running with a weak spiritual core. We got to strengthen out core first. - So many are so busy to do the Christian things, instead of being a Christian - Christianity is an internal heart program - If I keep my heart healthy it's amazing how the blood pumps freely, same with our spiritual life it becomes healthy by discipline of my devotion to God and reading the Word daily... - For some Christianity is an obligation, you got to keep the want to! You do what you want out of passion - No one has to make you tithe, witness, go to church, or read your Word - God says my heart can't flow through you with the sins in your life...jealousy, insecurity, lust, unfaithfulness.... - There are 6 major reasons why people are having an affair - lust, selfishness, pride.... - We can have a spiritual...

Just saying Hi

Hi everybody, It's been a while since I have been on here. What have I been up to all this time ;-)? Well,... I went home to Germany with my hubby for a week. What a blessing it was and how much fun we had. Oh how I miss my family. I will post more about that at a later time. I was part of the BT Drama Easter production , which was a tremendous blessing. I thank God for giving me an opportunity to express acting for His glory and to witness many people to come to the Lord #pricless. I had fun times and received a great portion of encouragement at our Pastors wives fellowships. I'm now part of the BT Dance team , and I love it. I love to dance, I love the fellowship with my beautiful sisters in Christ and to express my creativity in dance for God's glory. I celebrated one of my closest friends Graduation at Columbia University. Great memories to store. We have been in full planning mode for the Transitions Transformed 2011 Retreat , oh yeah we are going to be transformed....

What are we eating?

Have you ever wondered why we gain in weight, even if we "EAT HEALTHY"? Or better yet we think we eat healthy food. I was born and raised in Germany. I remember when I was a kid, I found this American vending machine (on a military base) full of chips and candy. I have never seen anything like this before. The colors were bright and the package looked appealing to the eye. I ran to the bank and exchanged my German change to some quarters. Me and my friends were so excited. I was introduced to products with over dose on sugar, packed with sodium, with lots of artificial flavor and many ingredients I can't pronounce... And it tasted so gooooood! Immediately I thought German (European) snacks are plain. Little did I know, what I thought taste good would only hurt my body. When I moved the the US, I quickly gained some weight. I didn't really eat much more then before. I remember trying to figure out the nutrition facts and thinking to myself, this product is not so bad, ...

First year of marriage

Brief intro: We met for the 1st time at the Transitions young adult retreat in September 2007. Later that year, I got involved in BT kids and Todd happened to work for BT kids at the time. We got to know each other through ministry and became good friends. In January 2008, Todd launched Project compassion, which was the outreach component of Transitions. I was chosen to be part of the leadership team and we worked closer together. End of March my lease was up, and Todd helped me move in with a friend that lived 2 blocks from him. We then had a great excuse to go and leave the church together, and the rest became history. We officially started courting in July 2008, we got engaged July 2009 and we got married December 2009. And here we are today married for 1 yr 2 months. I have to tell you when we reached our 1 yr anniversary, we rejoiced and said we maid it ;-) The first 6 months you will say “Wow we are married” or you will ask: “What is wrong with you?” Bullet points: ...
