Love Covers All

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:8 TNIV I love Jesus for who He is and for all He has done for me. He covered my multitude of sins and saved me. No matter what I have done or been exposed to, God forgave me and restored my heart. I wish someone had told me, about the love of God, when I was a child. I learned religion in school, but by no means have they portrait our Father in heaven for who He truly is and what He has done for us. God is love and if you don’t know God you can’t love, for God is the essence of love. If you truly love God, you will imitate His character. To cover someone in love means to protect them and don't expose their weaknesses or flaws. The more we grow in Christ, the more compassion we will have for all people. We will be quick to forgive and quick to help others in need. I love the story Pastor Cymbala shared with us one day, about a man who wanted to jump of a building. Pasto...

When "Keepin' It Real" Goes Wrong

The mentality is, you think you know it all, when at the end you know nothing. Ouch! The word that keeps coming to my mind is HUMILITY!   When you humble yourselves as the scriptures say: Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Philippians 2:3 Phew, God is pretty clear and direct with us. Many justify their inappropriate behavior, by saying; “I’m just keeping it real”. It basically means, having no filter and think you have the right to just say what ever is on your mind. I have fallen short of this many times and I’m grateful that by God’s grace he is working constantly on my heart.   One of the main lessons I have personally learned is to do everything in love. Another thing that is very dangerous, when people gossip during prayer. That just smells like “when keeping it real goes wrong.” God is all about unity amongst the body of Christ. Any gossip, even in prayer destroys unity. Please do us a...

32 years of my life

32 Years ago on, January 27th 1980, God placed me on this earth to my lovely parents Andre B. Forman and H. Marina Lochner. I was born and raised in Germany with my handsome brother Andre B. jr. In 1997 I was blessed to also unite with my other brother Daniel Witherspoon.  I love Germany and miss it on occasion. I have many great and also very sad memories growing up, but all of them shaped me who I am today.  I grew up in an unstable home. Early on in my life, my parents got divorced and our family was split. Everything changes and things were getting worse. Drugs and alcohol run in our family, that kept the disconnect growing. At age 17, tragedy overcame my brother and me. We lost our dear beloved mother; because of the damage alcohol did inside of her body. My whole world was put on hold the second I found out.  I felt so hurt, but realized that I had to stay strong and take care of my brother. From that day on my life has changed. From a teenager, I be...

A Wife of Noble Character

I started of the year by studying Proverbs 31:10-31. What a tremendous blessing and true example of a great wife, a wonderful mother and passionate women of God. I have learned many valuable lessons and received great reminders, which I can’t wait to apply. Proverbs 31:10-31 10 Who can find a virtuous and capable wife? She is more precious than rubies. 11 Her husband can trust her, and she will greatly enrich his life. 12 She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. 13 She finds wool and flax and busily spins it. 14 She is like a merchant’s ship, bringing her food from afar. 15 She gets up before dawn to prepare breakfast for her household and plan the day’s work for her servant girls. 16 She goes to inspect a field and buys it; with her earnings she plants a vineyard. 17 She is energetic and strong, a hard worker. 18 She makes sure her dealings are profitable; her lamp burns late into the night.   19 Her hands are busy spinning thread,...

Wisdom Calls For A Hearing

Proverbs 8 Wisdom Calls for a Hearing   1 Listen as Wisdom calls out!       Hear as understanding raises her voice!   2 On the hilltop along the road,       she takes her stand at the crossroads.   3 By the gates at the entrance to the town,       on the road leading in, she cries aloud, Prov. 8:1-3 Wisdom is portrayed as a women who guides us   4 “I call to you, to all of you!       I raise my voice to all people.   5 You simple people, use good judgment.       You foolish people, show some understanding.   6 Listen to me! For I have important things to tell you.       Everything I say is right,   7 for I speak the truth       and detest every kind of deception.   8 My advice is wholesome. ...

The 2nd Chances That Won't Run Out

I love God's Word. There has not been a time when I read it and not be filled. It is up to us how quickly we mature and willing to learn from God. (take the time and prioritize your life) S.O.A.P Scripture.Observe.Apply.Pray S.  Today I read Mark 16:7 " Now go and tell his disciples, including Peter , that Jesus is going ahead of you into Galilee. You will see him there, just as he told you before he died." O.  God gives us clear directions. Being a Christian also requires us to be in action. Jesus had 12 disciples including Peter. The angel made a special mention of Peter, because Jesus wanted to show him that he still loves him, even though Peter denied him. If you read the story of Peter, you will find a man that was very impulsive and had his foot to many times in his mouth. He was a follower of Jesus. At times he was a little aggressive, but genuinely loved Jesus. This is the same man who said to Jesus:" Even if everyone else deserts you, I never wi...

A typical travel day for me...

Travel blog Saturday, Oct. 29 th 2011 NYC – LAX I thank God every day for waking me up. Especially when I only had 4 hrs of sleep. Before I went to bed I prepped everything for the next morning, bags packed, check. Clothes laid out ready to wear, check. Phone charged, check. Important docs together, check. Snacks for the morning, check. Taxi booked, check and the list goes on. It is so important to plan ahead as best as you can to prevent any crazy last minute actions. Little did I know? I woke up to my smart alarm 15 min. earlier at 4:15am. Common alarm, don’t be robbing me of my sleep. How many of you would go right back to sleep after hitting the snooze button? I’m not a big snooze button friend, unlike my husband. But when you are deprived from sleep, it becomes your best friend. Well, not really in my case. My alarm clock never buzzed again. Somehow, I felt something tugging me to wake up! The Holy Spirit does not play around with you. Now it’s 4:51a...
